About Lilo Kinne

Lilo Kinne was born on April 17, 1950, and her life as an artist spans over the past 25 years. Since 1989, she lives in New York, after having lived in Paris from 1982 - 1989, works in studios in different parts of the world (New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Stuttgart, Tokyo), and has developed international art projects.

Since the 1970's, Lilo Kinne has worked as an artist and has traveled extensively throughout India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Japan, Greece, Egypt, USA, and numerous other countries. Before living from 1982-1989 in Paris, France, she lived for some time in Stuttgart, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Frankfurt, and she moved to New York in 1989, where she is living now. Through living and traveling in so many cultures, (she spends half of each year traveling), Lilo Kinne has become trilingual; she speaks German, French, and English fluently.

During her travels, her primary residence has been: in Stuttgart (from 1972-78), in San Francisco (1979), in Tokyo (1980), in Frankfurt (1981), in Paris (from 1982-89), and in New York (from 1989-Present). She is working and creating at different places in many countries.

Lilo Kinne's work reflects her conviction of humans living numerous lifetimes in different cultures, at different places on earth, and existing in different dimensions at the same time. Since the 1970's, she has created paintings about several of her past lifetimes, many of which are published in her book, which shows on the cover, her painting entitled "Once I Was Black".

In New York in 1995, the book LILO KINNE MULTIDIMENSIONAL ART was published in a limited edition of 2,500. It was printed in Germany in 3 languages (English, French, and German) by a printing company which prints for firms like Mercedes, Porsche, Bosch, and other international companies. After its publication in 1995, and in the following years, signed, numbered, and dedicated books have been given to internationally known gallerists, art collectors, museum curators and members of the press in the USA, Japan, Europe, and other parts of the world.

In 1997 Museum Wuerth, a private museum in Germany, acquired certain of her works now valued at US $ 1,000.000.00. Several of the works which are shown in the book, LILO KINNE MULTIDIMENSIONAL ART, are now part of the German private museum and part of other important international collections. Reinhold Wuerth, an international industrial magnate, who has already established two private art museums and an art academy in Germany, is considered an important patron of the arts, and has received much recognition for his efforts in the field of the arts.

A second book, LILO KINNE - MULTIDIMENSIONAL ART II, is in preparation, and will be published. Her first book has been placed online, and 38 works (works on canvas, a multi-media installation work, and photo editions of body painting projects in SoHo) can be viewed.

The ART SPACE, which originated in Stuttgart, Germany in the 1970's, and which is now the ART SPACE - NEW YORK of International Art Research, exhibits single- and multi-panel paintings, art objects of the Transcendence Of Matter project, multi-media installations, audio / video tapes / art CD's ( of her art and art performances), and handwritten texts.

Lilo Kinne's international exhibitions show multimedia installations and Multidimensional Art Performances with elements of dance & theater, as well as her single- and multi-panel paintings , photographs, and art audios / art videos / art CD's. For the multimedia installations as well as the Multidimensional Art Performances, she works with international artists (painters, photographers, dancers & choreographers, new media artists and others), and she creates her own music in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, and several other places around the world.

Her son, Satya Seth, names himself ZOOM, was born in 1981, and is one of the young collaborating international artists. ZOOM collaborates in the creation of music / videos for Lilo Kinne's multimedia installations and art performances and is one of the project media advisors (sound & video editing).

The catalogue of Lilo Kinne's work, which is a complete listing of her works between 1987 - 1997, consists of listings of series, as well as slide material of the works in the context of their creation in respective series. Due to its size and volume, Lilo Kinne usually extends an invitation to international curators and collectors to meet with her at the ART SPACE - NEW YORK iar to view the catalogued work.

Lilo Kinne welcomes cooperations with art institutions such as museums, art spaces, and galleries, as well as individuals. Please feel free to contact her, and keep her website address for your reference.
