Lilo Kinne "ART PERFORMANCES" integrate "INTUITIVE DANCE & THEATER"
as well as "BODY PAINTING" as an extension of her
"TRANSCENDENCE OF MATTER" projects beginning in the early 1970s:
Lilo Kinne painted objects which she used in her daily life such as cars, clothes, and other things, creating works of art of each one of them. She called this process "TRANSCENDENCE OF MATTER".

Lilo Kinne about her artistic development:
>Already in the early 1970s, I was a pioneer in the field of "WRITTEN WORD" on paintings, art objects, which were objects of my daily life transformed into ART. In Stuttgart in the early 1970s and later in Frankfurt, Germany, in Tokyo (1980) and in Paris (1982-89), I wore clothes and shoes which I had painted with statements written on them. I called this "TRANSCENDENCE OF MATTER" since by touching objects as well as later human beings, I transcend (bring) them to another higher plane of existence. My spiritual touch "heals".
Since I created my first "ART TAPES" more than 30 years ago, and "ART FILMS" almost 20 years ago, I used "SPOKEN WORD" in front of the tape recorder and the video/film camera. A simple extension became the "SPOKEN WORD" in front of the microphone combined with music in recent years.
When I visited Russell Simmons' offices in January 2005, I met with Jeff Johnson, who was at the time the Executive Director of the "HIP-HOP SUMMIT ACTION NETWORK", and I spoke with Jeff concerning a cooperation of different well known rappers in my "INTERNATIONAL ART SPOKEN WORD/HIP-HOP PROJECT" for the international fine art museums all over the world.
Since he opened his gallery 9 years ago, I know Danny Simmons, Russell's older brother. I am part of the international art scene for a very long time.
90% of the major international fine art gallerists all over the world not only know me, but many are close friends of mine, some for over 20 years.
In front of my film producers and photographers, who co-produce with me "ART FILMS" and "PHOTOS", which document my "ART PERFORMANCES" for the international fine art museums all over the world, I hold my "ART PERFORMANCES".
These "ART PERFORMANCES" consist of "DANCING WHILE CHOREOGRAPHING", "INTUITIVE THEATER" which became "SPOKEN WORD" (alone as well as with other artists included) and "BODY PAINTING" as an extension of my project "TRANSCENDENCE OF MATTER".
"SPOKEN WORD ART PERFORMANCES", into which I integrate young "SPOKEN WORD" artists and rappers, are part of my expressions since a few years. In my "INTERNATIONAL ART SPOKEN WORD/HIP-HOP PROJECT", I work with other "SPOKEN WORD ARTISTS/HIP-HOP ARTISTS" who cooperate with me in the booth creating music .
With different young rappers, I have already created/produced several CDs and plan to continue this project with more and more well known as well as unknown young talented artists.
The created "ART CDs" with "SPOKEN WORD"/HIP-HOP MUSIC will be given to major international fine art museums of contemporary art, and will be part of their archives as signed and numbered "ART CDs".
My "SPOKEN WORD" is the philosophical expression of the human existence in its depth. It corresponds with what people feel in their lives when confronted with pain and suffering! The hardship many rappers had to endure growing up have to do with social injustice in their lives of which I am very conscious!
It is the role of an artist to "SEE" and to "EXPRESS" those injustices and make the observer/the audience more aware, more conscious of the ongoing things.
I go into the recording booth and perform in togetherness with "SPOKEN WORD" artists and rappers to express the nature of our lives, of our human existence in general and our personal existence in particular.
Transcending the pain and feelings of loss and suffering in life's process is my way of giving, caring and loving humankind!
The cooperation consists of us going into the recording booth and expressing ourselves in togetherness and in intuitive flow about the human existence.
This "INTERNATIONAL ART SPOKEN WORD/HIP-HOP PROJECT" is the extension of my artistic work in general:
At the beginning, there were my paintings which represent a fusion of the visual and verbal expression of the human existence. "WRITTEN WORD" has been used by me in a powerful way since the early 1970s in my canvases as well as other painted objects.
My artistic oeuvre is a prolonged experiment throughout the past 30 years of my life.
The creation of the expressions "MULTIDIMENSIONAL PHILOSOPHY, ART & THERAPY" was at first mostly expressed in teaching, therapy sessions, paintings, photographs, the creation of art objects (such as painted furniture, clothes, cars and others), then through integration of "DANCE & THEATER" into my "ART PERFORMANCES".
Additionally as culmination of the "TRANSCENDENCE OF MATTER PROJECT" "BODY PAINTING" was integrated into my "ART PERFORMANCES". Over the past 20 years, my art reached more and more into additional media such as film, and also Hip-Hop music creation.
The "INTERNATIONAL ART SPOKEN WORD/HIP-HOP PROJECT" is an "INTUITIVE ART PROJECT" and will not only be given to the major international fine art museums all over the world, but I additionally document this art project with film producers in its creation. Thereafter, I plan to demonstrate and show it in art institutions such as galleries, museums, and other artistic venues.
HARLEM SHAKAFEST 2005
LILO was photographed by two of her photographers (David Paul and Dragon) and filmed by one of her film producer friends (Bennett Wyche) while performing at the SHAKAFEST in HARLEM.
LILO is shown on photographs with YODA & Dr. SHAKA ZULU from ZULUNATION as well as several other people during the Shakafest 2005.
During the SHAKAFEST at the Harlem State Building, LILO KINNE performed together with two young rappers .
Lilo chose young rappers who responded to her initial stimulation with intuitive messages and statements, and held SPOKEN WORD ART PERFORMANCES .

LILO KINNE with SirPrize, a young rapper whom she included spontaneously into her SHAKAFEST ART PERFORMANCE WITH SPOKEN WORD.
There is no rehearsal with Lilo Kinne, she performs truly intuitively. She expects her rappers to truly free style with as little preconceived notions as possible. At times, she provokes them to let go and uses for this different methods: sometimes Lilo is soft spoken and at times daring with much strength opening them up, freeing them.
